Miki Sawada
Pianist Miki Sawada is best known for her Gather Hear Tour, in which she travels to all 50 states with a piano to perform in community gathering spaces, using classical music to connect us across divisions in this country. After tours through Alaska and West Virginia, she continues onto Massachusetts and Utah in 2021. Miki has performed internationally at venues and occasions such as: Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Roulette (Brooklyn), Helsinki Music Centre, Arctic Philharmonic (Norway), MATA Festival, Music on Main (Vancouver), Dame Myra Hess Series (Chicago). She holds degrees from Yale School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and Northwestern University.
