Ken Luk
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ken Luk studied with Dr. Nicholas Goluses and finished his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music. Ken also holds a Master of Art degree in Music Theory Pedagogy (Eastman) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (finance) at Indiana University Bloomington. In addition to the classical guitar, Ken frequently performs music of Brazil, Indonesia, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe. Apart from teaching guitar and mandolin to students of all ages in the Rochester, N.Y. area, Ken teaches Alfred University, SUNY Geneseo, and the Eastman Community Music School. Ken is also a cofounder of Rochester Classical Guitar and Rochester Mandolin Orchestra.
